About 230 boathouses exisits in Ine area.
Among many fishing villages in Japan, this is the first place chosen by the Japanese government as Important Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings.
The village is about 5km long and if you walk non-stop, it takes about 1hr(in my case). Usually people start sightseeing from "Inewan-meguri-Hide(伊根湾めぐり・日出)" bus stop. From there you can take a sightseeing boat. Please check the following link about the boat. Ine bay sightseeing boat
Getting INE by public transportation
*From Miyazu station(宮津駅) take a bus towards "Ine or Kamanyu or Kyougamisaki(伊根・蒲入・経ヶ岬)" and get off at "Inewan-meguri Hide(伊根湾めぐり・日出)"

*By bicycle about 1hr 30mins from Amanohashidate station(through Amanohashidate)
